By accessing or using SafeMode (the 'Service'), operated by Go Safe Mode, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms'). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Go Safe Mode.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including free users, paid subscribers, and enterprise customers.

2. Service Description

SafeMode is a phishing detection and protection service that:

• Analyzes URLs and websites for phishing indicators
• Provides browser extension for real-time protection
• Offers API access for integration with other services
• Maintains a database of known phishing sites and threat intelligence

We strive to provide accurate detection, but SafeMode is not infallible. Users should exercise their own judgment when browsing the internet.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly update your information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

4.1 Plan Types

SafeMode offers the following plans:

• Free Plan: Limited features with no subscription required
• Pro Plan: Monthly or annual subscription with advanced features
• Enterprise Plan: Custom pricing for organizations

4.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Paddle.com. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize Paddle to charge your selected payment method.

4.3 Billing Cycle

• Monthly: Billed on the same day each month
• Annual: Billed once per year on the subscription anniversary

4.4 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will not affect your current billing period. You will be notified at least 30 days before any price change takes effect.

4.5 Free Trial

The Pro plan includes a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial. You may cancel anytime during the trial period without being charged.

5. Refund Policy

5.1 Refund Eligibility

Refunds are available under the following conditions:

• Request made within 30 days of payment
• Account has not violated our Terms of Service
• Refund has not been previously granted for the same subscription period

5.2 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

2. Include your account email and reason for the refund (optional)
3. We will process your refund within 5-7 business days

5.3 Refund Processing

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method via Paddle. Processing time depends on your payment provider but typically takes 5-10 business days.

5.4 Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

• Payments older than 30 days
• Enterprise custom contracts (subject to contract terms)
• Add-on services purchased separately
• Accounts terminated for Terms of Service violations

5.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refund will be provided for the remaining days in your billing cycle unless you qualify for the 30-day money-back guarantee.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for illegal purposes
• Attempt to circumvent API rate limits or usage restrictions
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Submit malicious content or spam through the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

7. Intellectual Property

SafeMode and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any damages resulting from use or inability to use the Service
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months
• We are not responsible for third-party services or content

9. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

By using SafeMode, you agree to:

• Our collection of URLs you submit for analysis
• Our use of anonymized data to improve detection
• Our sharing of threat intelligence with security researchers

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time through your dashboard settings or by contacting support.

10.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• Your account shows suspicious or fraudulent activity
• You fail to pay required fees
• Required by law or legal process

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your access to paid features will cease immediately
• We may delete your account data after 30 days (see Privacy Policy)
• No refunds will be provided unless you qualify under our refund policy

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via:

• Email notification to your registered address
• Notice on our website at least 30 days before effective date

Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
